Beyonce and Jay-Z welcomed a daughter on Sunday.

Beyonce, 30, gave birth to the baby via planned caesarean section at Lenox Hill hospital in New York. E! Online repots that her 42-year-old rapper husband Jay-Z (a.k.a. Shawn Carter) was by her side for the birth.
The new arrival got a warm welcome on Twitter:
“The most beautiful girl in the world,” Beyoncé’s sister, Solange Knowles, tweeted.
“Congrats to my good friends Beyoncé and Jay-Z,” wrote Russell Simmons.
“Welcome to the world Blue! We love you already,” tweeted Gwyneth Paltrow.
It’s the first child for the couple, who got married in 2008.
