Oven Baked Applesauce
Get ready for your home to smell like a dream!I have a simple recipe to share with you that screams fall. In fact, I’m pretty sure you’ll feel cozy and warm all over just reading about it. Soon you’ll have applesauce baking in the oven, and an array of colorful leaves falling to the ground outside. Pretty much sums up heaven on earth, don’t ya think?

This oven baked applesauce recipe is bursting with love from my heart to yours. I hope you enjoy baking this magnificent time of year every bit as much as I do.
Oven Baked Applesauce
Yields: 2 ½ – 3 cups
Ingredients:
1/3 cup apple cider
1 tsp. lemon zest (approximately zest of ½ a lemon)
Juice of 1 lemon
8 red apples
1/3 cup coconut sugar
1 1/2 tsp. apple pie spice
2 Tbsp. vegan butter substitute
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
In a Dutch oven add apple cider, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
Peel, core, and cut apples into 8 thick chunks each.
Place the apple chunks into the Dutch oven and stir in juice.
Add the coconut sugar and apple pie spice and stir to coat apples.
Dollop vegan butter substitute in small chunks on top of the apples.
Cover and bake for 1 ½ hours.
Whisk apples to desired consistency.
Wonderful served warm!
