Fashion Friday: A Structured Bag for Every Budget
This season, the hippest handbag shape is square. Labels such as Proenza Schouler, Lanvin and Valentino all sent this more serious, uptown style down the runways. For spring, I recommend taking a break from your slouchy hobo in order to trade up to a structured, ladylike tote like the ones shown below. Celebrity Fashion Friday
One of my favorite trends for spring is the draped wrap skirt, sometimes called a tulip skirt. This is a figure-flattering silhouette that works for most body types, and I love the elegant detail that the draped fabric creates. On the other hand, you don’t have to look like a frump with elastic pants and sensible shoes. As a 40-something, a wonderful world of fantastic clothes is just waiting for you to explore.
Fashion Tips for Women Over 60
To look at the pages of “Vogue” or “Cosmopolitan,” you would think that women over the age of 60 do not exist. The fact is, many women over 60 love fashion, and they have options beyond muumuus and elastic waist pants. Whether you work or are retired, you can locate and create ensembles that flatter your body type, suit your lifestyle and express your unique sense of style.
