RECALL – Children and Infant Tylenol and Motrin

McNeil Consumer Healthcare is voluntarily recalling some of its over-the-counter infant and children’s products. The troubling part is that I bet almost all of us have these medicines in our bathrooms. Infant and children’s tylenol and motrin… Who doesn’t have that, right?

They are recalling “all lots that have not yet expired of certain OTC children’s and Infants’ liquid products…” Specifically, Tylenol Infants’ Drops, Children’s Tylenol Suspensions, Children’s Tylenol Plus Suspensions, Motrin Infant Drops, Children’s Motrin Suspensions, Children’s Zyrtec Liquids in Bottles and Children’s Benadryl Allergy Liquids in Bottles.

These products according to the McNeil press release, “may not meet quality standards.” This is a precautionary measure but we are advised to not give these products to our children as the active ingredients may have a higher concentration than is noted and inactive ingredients in the medicines may not be up to par or contain tiny particles that shuld’t be there.
