When I was pregnant with my first child, I had a couple of books on my bedside table that I read throughout my pregnancy that served as helpful reference guides for me, but were pregnancy specific. And then I had my son and thought, you know it would have been useful to have read some parenting books while I was pregnant and had the time!
Hair Pulling as a Self Soothing Mechanism
Alright, who knew that pulling out your own hair was actually soothing? About 3 months ago my 18 month old daughter started tugging at her hair on her right side. At first it was fairly infrequently and I noticed that she did it predominantly when she was tired. I figured it would pass and it didnt look as though it was doing much harm.

There is a documentary that is airing this weekend on the W Network (in Canada, I checked but cant find US listings for it) called I Dont Have Time for This. It follows five women who have all been diagnosed with Breast Cancer in their mid twenties to early thirties, just as they are graduating from school, getting married, starting families.
