Easy Stuffing Recipe for Thanksgiving

As creative as you’d like to get on Thanksgiving Day, families expect to see certain things on the table. Among the turkey, cranberry sauce and pies, the stuffing has a prominent place. Don’t stress yourself out over this item, though. If your cooking schedule for the day is crammed, go for a stuffing recipe so easy your kids or partner can help.

Ingredients

  • Olive oil
  • 1 pound sausage
  • 1 cup celery
  • 1 cup onions
  • 1 cup apples
  • 8 cups (or 1 package) breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 3 eggs

Directions
Saute the sausage in olive oil. Once it is thoroughly cooked, place it in a bowl.

Chop the vegetables and apples into 1/2-inch pieces and saute. When they are soft, dump them into the bowl with the sausage and mix in the breadcrumbs.

Whisk together the milk, chicken stock and eggs. If you are using a breadcrumb package, add in the liquid the box specifies. Pour the liquid into the breadcrumb/vegetable/sausage mixture.

Pour the mixture into a casserole dish. Spread it out and bake for an hour in a 350-degree oven.
