Children’s Jewelry Recalled Due to Toxic Cadmium

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of Children’s Happy Charm Bracelets and Football Rings made by SmileMakers Inc., of South Carolina. 

About 66,200 charm bracelets and 2,200 rings were recalled. The jewelry contains high levels of Cadmium. Cadmium is toxic if ingested by young children.

The “Happy” charm bracelet has multicolored beads with a butterfly, moon or sun charm attached. The football ring is a small  metal band with a football charm attached.
